Temecula Wine Country: A SoCal Wine Gem

This whole trip came up as a last minute change of plans. For Father’s Day, I had planned to go wine tasting with my dad in Santa Barbara. Then, Santa Barbara caught on fire. So frantically, on the day of his arrival, I started looking into other options so as to salvage the wine weekend. After some quick searching, I came up with and decided on Temecula for our wine tasting weekend.

And I am so glad I did.

By now, I am sure you have heard about the unflattering coverage that AirBNB has received, specifically with regard to complaints lodged by Black travelers. The hashtag #AirBNBWhileBlack was trending for quite a while. But the interesting aspect is that in trying to fill a void two unrelated companies—NoirBNB and NoireBNB—separated only by an ‘e’—announced their upcoming launches recently. This pitted NoirBNB versus NoireBNB. And now, before even launching, the business for one of the companies as they knew it has to be changed.

Kick Starting Summer in Fabulous Florida for Families

My trip to Florida was satisfyingly upbeat, but chill at the same time. Getting our summer off on the right foot, we headed to Miami just two days after school let out. My little sister was especially excited to swim in her new mermaid tail; however, Mom, Dad, and I were more into good eats as well as getting lots of relaxation in amongst the palm trees. We got to do the latter (and really explore Florida for families) once we upgraded from our hotel in South Beach, Miami, to a resort we stayed at years before in Ft. Lauderdale.
