It’s here. 2016 is over and 2017 is here. And, to boot, I have some travel goals that I am looking to accomplish this year. Here are a few of my big 2017 travel goals.
Visit My Remaining Two Continents
So in my 30 Goals for the Wanderlustful Soul post, I stated that I want to visit every continent except Antarctica (which I have literally zero desire to ever visit). Last year, I made it to Australia, my fourth continent. In 2017, I want to hit my last two continents: Africa and Asia.
Visit At Least a Handful More Countries
I am planning some pretty epic trips for 2017, and I hope to hit a number of new countries, in addition to a couple of repeat visits. I also really want to knock out more experience goals in these countries.
Be More Social
I said this last year I think, and I’m going to say it again. I am going to work on being more on top of my social media. Promise. I’m going to be much more on it this year (which shouldn’t be hard LOL).
I will note that this will also include the blog. I need to write about so many different countries, including hotels, tours, experiences, and more, worldwide. I strive to write about all of the countries I didn’t get to cover on the blog in 2016 throughout the course of 2017.
Do More Domestic Travel
I have kept up with my goal to see at least one new state every year. But this year, I may try to explore more than just one new state. I may try to explore a few new states this year, time permitting. Some states that are on my radar in the near future are Utah, Alaska, and Maine, to name a few.
Explore California More
There are parts of California that I really want to explore more. New areas, new hotels, and new activities. I want to really try to delve into the Golden State more. I would also like to do some road trips, even though I really don’t do well in the car for long periods of time.
So there you have it, my 2017 travel goals. What are your travel goals this year? Sound off.
