From a foodie perspective, New Mexico comes in first with its biggest foodie export: delicious New Mexico green chiles. And while we had plenty of green chiles while in Santa Fe (more on that coming soon), that isn’t the only delightful cuisine that Santa Fe boasts. We decided to learn more about the influence Spanish cuisine on the area in the Authentic Spanish Tapas cooking demonstration at the Santa Fe School of Cooking. And, of course, enjoy the feast that ensued.

It is quite another to be a working professional on the road. Given that I bring my laptop on every trip and I work while traveling, I have quite a bit of experience with this. On my recent trip to New York, I decided to take a day to be a tourista. We spent a day visiting the Statue of Liberty with a quick stopover on Ellis Island.
But I couldn’t help thinking, throughout the whole experience, that were visiting Lady Liberty herself. But are we really free?
Whether you are at home, traveling domestically or abroad, safety should always be a priority. While it is likely, in most cities or countries you travel to, that you are just as safe as you would be at home, there is a certain vulnerability that you feel when you travel, especially when you are traveling to a place that you aren’t familiar with. I had 14 days to squeeze it all in. Here I was, trying to finalize a two-week Eurotrip that would have me trouncing around western Europe. I was flying into Paris and leaving from Stockholm, the site of a conference I was attending, and I had to figure out my itinerary for the 14 days between my arrival and departure. In the final stages of planning, I realized that for essentially the same price I could either go straight from Amsterdam to Stockholm, or I could leave Amsterdam and fly to Copenhagen a day early, then over to Stockholm. I had to figure out how to spend a day in Copenhagen… well, less than a day in Copenhagen… but I decided to do it. This was supposed to be an adventure, right? So why not?
And I am so glad that I did.
Kids argue. This is an indisputable fact.
